US-based display maker ViewSonic recently announced that the company plans to launch Smartphones, initially in China, followed by Europe and the Americas, marking its foray into the increasingly competitive Smartphone market, according to a press release by ViewSonic. Leveraging the company's state-of-art display technologies, the ViewSonic Smartphone boasts a larger screen and sharper color saturation and contrast, with an aim to provide a better user experience when users access mobile applications and content, including mobile Internet, TV and video applications, gaming and eBooks. Further details regarding a timeframe in which the company would deliver such products were not yet disclosed. Aside from ViewSonic, other display manufactures who also makes phones and Smartphones include Samsung, LG, and NEC.
